Landschaft
From Southern Falster across the Baltic Sea to the huge port of Rostock with a look at the old medieval town with a partly preserved town wall. That is followed by the lakeside district of Mecklenburg with dense forests and picturesque small towns like Schwaan, Guestrow and Waren, the latter on the shore og Germanys second biggest lake of Mueritz on which Eastern shore we cycle along and pitch our tents. Therafter we enter the province of Brandenburg with yet more lakes and historically interesting towns like Rheinsberg with its caatle and Oranienburg, where the Nazis operated the concentration camp of Sachsenhausen before we enter Berlin. Here we ride the Berlin Wall path, which mostly follows the former border strip between East and West Berlin before arriving at our very centrally positioned hostel near the TV tower and the Marienkirche church.
