Sehenswert sind das Anklamer Tor 
, die Marienkirche , der Schlossberg mit einem Denkmal, das an die durch Otto von Bamberg durchgeführte Bekehrung zum Christentum 1128 erinnert, und der Rest der Hubbrücke Karnin /Zecherin. Außerdem befindet sich im alten Bahnhof der Stadt, dem Klaus-Bahlsen-Haus, das Naturparkzentrum mit sehr interessanten Ausstellungen rund um die Natur der heimischen Areale.
