Velden ist eine mittelfränkische Stadt im Pegnitztal in der Hersbrucker Alb.
Sehenswürdigkeiten
- Die evangelisch-lutherischen ⊙Pfarrkirche St. Maria wurde um 1350/70 erbaut. interessant sind die reiche Ausstattung aus dem späten 15. und frühen 16. Jahrhundert und die Deckenmalerei mit der Himmelfahrt Christi.
- Der ⊙Stadtturm, der in der ersten Hälfte des 15. Jahrhunderts errichtete wurde, ist noch vollständig erhalten.
- Das ehemalige ⊙Pflegschloss ist ein dreigeschossiger Massivbau mit Halbwalmdach aus den Jahren 1540/43
- Das evangelisch-lutherische ⊙Pfarrhaus
- Das ⊙Scheunenviertel
- Die ⊙Stadtmühle am Mühlkanal ist ein langgestreckter Satteldachbau mit Fachwerk im Obergeschoss und Giebel aus dem 18./19. Jahrhundert
