Der Bahnhof Jünkerath ist Ausgangspunkt für den Kyall-Radweg abwärts nach Trier, den Radweg Vennquerbahn. Außerdem lässt sich die Strecke nutzen, um die Steigung zwischen Kylltal und Urft bis zum Bf. Blankenheim Wald zu überbrücken. Züge nach Euskirchen-Köln bzw. Bitburg-Trier.
