Properties
We cycled on the gravel bike path around the Flaucher peninsula and along the Isar westbank (tarmac) to Deutsches Museum. Most bridges have separate underneath crossings for bikers and pedestrians on a separated (but often ignored!) path. From here on city roads mostly with bike lanes in the city districts of Haidhausen and Bogenhausen and back to the city centre along Prinzregentenstrasse. From there the same route back along the river Isar to the camp site.

Remarks
The first of two whole days in Munich. We visited the Deutsches Museum, tried to find the Buergerbraeukeller (the venue for Hitler's "beer hall coup" i 1923), had an ice cream on Wiener Platz and rode out to Hitler's private flat on Prinzregentenplatz. Back to the city centre via the "angel of peace" along Prinzregentenstrasse. We wheeled our bikes through the former emperor's castle of Alter Hof and across the city hall square Marienplatz. We had dinner outside at the restaurant Andechser am Dom. Cycled back to the camp site in Thalkirchen.
