Properties

Tarmaced road all day long! That was the good news of today. And almost no traffic on it. In the town of Inari I rode on a bike lane to the camping site.

Remarks

Yet another two-day-stretch in the six-day-part from Rovaniemi to Nuorgam completed with the arrival to Inari on the shores of the very big lake of the same name. I left Pokka and Tieva Baari with great gratitude and rode cross the huge Lemmenjoki national park. One large expanse of wilderness with low trees, bald mountain slopes and hundred thousands of reindeer. They were everywhere! The terrain was quite demanding with many long, but not very steep climbs. The cold was also challenging, as my muscles did not do so well. I saw the cataract of Ritakoski shortly before Inari. I pitched my tent at the camp site on the very shore of the lake. I had dinner at the hotel, also in order to feel some warmth. I got that in the sauna on the camp site afterwards.
