Character
Der Rhone-Radweg vereinigt zwischen Brig und Genf ganz unterschiedliche Landschaftstypen. Nirgendwo in der Schweiz scheint die Sonne häufiger als hier im Wallis. Szenenwechsel ab Villeneuve: Die weite, lichtüberflutete Fläche des Genfersees auf der einen, Rebberge auf der anderen Seite der Route begleiten bis zum Reiseziel Genf.
Ab Brig bis Vevey und von Lutry bis Genf ist die Route fast völlig flach und macht sie auch für Genussfahrer bestens geeignet. Einzig der thermische Gegenwind an warmen Sommernachmittagen kann den Radlern zu schaffen machen.
Einige Höhepunkte des schweizer Rhone-Radweges:
- das Wallis ist die Heimat für Sonne, Wein und süsse Früchte
- der Genfersee ist die "Schweizer Riviera"
- das UNESCO Weltkulturerbe Lavaux
- Genf, die internationale Metropole
Von Genf bis hin zum Rhône-Delta in der Camargue folgt die Radroute dem Verlauf von Frankreichs wasserreichstem Fluss. Von den Alpen über das romantische Rhône-Tal bis zur mediterranen Provence kann man sich von der Magie des Flusses treiben lassen.

- Anreise: Mit dem Zug nach Brig.
- Rückreise: Mit dem TGV ab Avignon nach Straßburg, sofern Fahrradstellplätze angeboten werden (nur zeitweise im Jahr).
Sonst mit dem TER von Avignon nach Lyon und weiter mit Umstieg in Belfort und Mulhouse nach Basel.

The Stockalper Palace (German: Stockalperpalast) is a castle in Brig-Glis 
, Switzerland. It was built between 1658 and 1678 by Kaspar Stockalper, a silk merchant of Brig. The Stockalper Palace was the largest private construction in Switzerland at the time. It is a Swiss heritage site of national significance.
Today, the castle is uninhabited and visitors may only enjoy access by guided tour.
