Up a steep hill before Hastings - Hastings old town - Hastings fishing harbour with boats on the beach - Hastings castle - in heavy traffic up to Battle - Battle Abbey and the Battle of Hastings visitor centre and actual site of the battle - again in heavy traffic down to Pevensey - coffee break on Pevensey beach - Eastbourne with a cycling festival - steep hill out of town - we loose contach to one another - alone in heavy traffic on to Newhaven - supper at an Indian restaurant (my mobile phone is broken) - ascents and descents in headwind to a late arrival at Brighton Caravan Club.
