Nach Heringen führt der offizielle Radweg über eine Autostrasse. Dem Rat eines Einheimischens folgend folgen wir jedoch dem inoffiziellen Radweg entlang der Werra, wild, sumpfig, wunderschön, gut zu befahren. Weiterhin meist flaches Gelände, entlang Flüssen und durch Wald, einige kurze Steigungen, kleine Dörfer, wenig Menschen unterwegs. Durch Eisenach, das wir schon kennen vom deutsch-deutschen Radweg, daher nicht langer Aufenthalt, viele Touristen. Besichtigung von Gotha im lauen Sommerabend. Interessante und schöne Stadt. Sehr gemütliche, originell gestaltete Pension.
