Wir starteten nach einem Mittagessen in der Firmenkantine zu unserem Wochenend event.
Es ging an der Nidda lang bis kurz vor Bad Vilbel, dann musten wir einen Berg hoch, den wir selbst mit Schieben kaum schafften, da der Untergrund sehr weich war. Der Höhenunterschied war von dem Flußtal der Nidda zur hohen Strasse doch erheblich.

Wir fuhren die Hohe Strasse komplett bis Büdingen.
Ein Stopp am Wartbaum und am Weitblick machen die Regionalpark Route Hohe Strasse interessant.

Vor dem Anstieg zur Jugendherberge Büdingen, wo wir ein Zimmer reserviert hatten, nahmen wir unser Abendessen in einer Pizzeria in Lorbach. Das Laden der Akkus gestaltete sich schwierig, die Bedienung erlaubte zwar die Akkus zu laden, aber es gab keine Steckdosen. Nachdem die anderen Gäste beim suchen halfen, zogen wir einen Zigaretteautomat und luden an dessen Steckdose unsere Akkus. Es war ein geselliger Abend, wir sassen im freien bei den Stammtisch Gästen und unterhielten uns prächtig.

Gestärkt fuhren wir den Berg rauf zur Jugendherberge. Dort gab es unter der Aufsicht des Herbergvaters einen Getränkeautomaten mit kaltem Bier. Der Abend war gerettet.
