Cycle Tour Iron Curtain Tour, part 3 Gdynia-Aš

On the next long stage to Kuehlungsborn, I had again sunny weather and tailwind. It first led me through the primeval forest on the Darss peninsula. Really a beautiful trip. Across the former island of Fischland, it went south and west. Still with very busy cycle paths along the coast. Many took a so-called bridge day between the bank holiday and the weekend. In the rhododendron park in Graal, it was absolutely crazy. Large tourist buses had landed and their contents wandered about admiring the beautiful flowers, but most people definetely flocked in the large area with food and beer stalls. Well, I enjoyed the peace and quiet of the large Rostocker Heide, which is a large forest. Short after I crossed the Warnow river with the harbour ferry to Warnemuende. Here I indulged myself with a giant ice cream with coffee and enjoyed the yachting paradise of Alter Strom. A zither player attracted attention with sublime playing. It was a little late before I arrived at the posh and very expensive campsite in Kuehlungsborn. Back in town it had grown so late that only a Thai restaurant would serve me hot food. But, on the other hand, it was also perfectly fine.
