Beschaffenheit
I toured the camp site a lot and went twice into Nuorgam's tiny centre. Here as on a short trip to the real northernmost point of Finland on a river bank on tarmaced bike paths.
Bemerkungen
A lazy day in the northernmost village of Finland. First a trip into one of the many supermarkets in the dull centre. The markets all have signs in Norwegian. Guess, the Norwegians cross the border to shop here. As we (western) Danes do in Germany. A dreary little village. Apart from that I rested inside my tent, washed my clothes and chatted with two charming Finnish girls, who were to start on a bike trip through Finland in the other direction, Nuorgam-Hanko. I changed my rear tyre to the folded tyre, I had brought. I also went a short trip the towards the Norwegian border and Finland's real northernmost point on a gravel bank into the river. No big thrill standing there! In the evening I watched WC-football Germany-Australia (4-0) at a bar, where I also had supper.
