Hammelburg ist eine Kleinstadt im unterfränkischen Landkreis Bad Kissingen. Sie liegt an den Ausläufern der bayerischen Rhön und an der Fränkischen Saale 
.
Wahrzeichen der Stadt sind das im Zentrum gelegene Rathaus, das Kellereischloss mit Schlossweiher und vor allem das über der Stadt thronende ⊙Schloss Saaleck .
