This route is not a cycle path that has been developed over the entire route. But rather, the route south of Lake Garda runs mainly on roads, and, over not insignificant parts of the route, also on paths with partly poor surfaces (e.g. on the Arno bank, on the Canale maestro della Chiana or south of Rome on Via Appia).

Remarks
This route is based on the route published by eurovelo.com, status December 2024, for the bike path EV7. That route has been worked out precisely from Germany up to the regional border between Lazio and Campania. From Campania to Sicily, only routing points are available. The present track is worked out from Campania to Malta based on these routing points.
